ATHENS PHILARMONIA
For 70 consecutive years the Athens Philharmonic Orchestra has been a very important cultural and educational work participating in all kind of events organized by the municipality of Athens as well as concerts all over Greece Cyprus and Canada.
In 1997 the musicians' passion for upgrade was fulfilled by the unreserved support of the major of Athens Mr. Dimitrios L. Avramopoulos and the dynamic efforts of the municipal authorities.
Athens Philharmonic Orchestra has been reinforced with 65 new talented musicians all graduate from well Known Academies.
They were integrated to the already established artists giving a fresh outcome to the whole effort.
This group which has changed its name to "ATHENS PHILARMONIA" with a variety of concerts and record productions, is one of the best of its kind in Europe. The pride of Athens and an immutable example for the rest of Greece.
